  DEW-NEW-PHPLinks Readme
 ********************************************************************

 Since you are reading this you have obviously downloaded and extracted
 the files that make Dew-NewPHPLinks go, so we won't document that process
 here. 
    
 Things you'll need in order to get started...
 	A text editor such as notepad, vi, vim, nano, pico and yes even emacs
 	or elvis
 
 	A MySQL server, username and password for access, with either an 
 	existing database or the ability to create a new one.
 
 	A web server, we reccomend Apache (in fact we haven't tested on 
 	anything else)
 
 	A method of uploading the files to the web server such as FTP or
 	SCP (of course this also requires a username and password.)
 
 	A web browser and an internet connection.

  Step 1.
   Edit the file /include/config.php
   The first 5 variables must be set correctly for things to work. If you leave
   jbuttons enabled the $email_user and $email_domain variables must also be set.
   The remaining options can be left at their default values until installation is
   completed.

  Step 2.
   Determine where you want to install to, creating a directory if necessary.
   To have it viewable at http://www.yourdomain.com/    you should’t need to
   create a directory.  To have it viewable at http://www.yourdomain.com/links/ 
   create a "links" directory within your main web site directory.
 
  Step 3.
   Upload the files to the appropriate directory. All files should be uploaded as
   ASCII text except the graphic files, that end with .gif, .jpg and .png  
 
  Step 4.
   Use your web browser to view the docs directory of your installation. 
   eg; http://www.yourdomain.com/links/docs/   and follow the instructions
   there to complete your installation.

  Step 5.
   Once all is installed, configured and running delete the docs directory and
   password protect the admin directory

  Step 6.
   Access the admin panel and use the "Link Text" button to enter one or more
   variations on your link back code.
 
Step 6.1 (optional)
  After a few days of using the various features, tell how it's working , and what
  your server enviroment is by clicking the "Submit Platform info to Dew-Code.com".
